The adventure begins this afternoon as we hop aboard our vessel and sail from Split. Get comfortable and say hello to your Busabout crew and family. Today you can kick back and relax as we sail to Hvar. Relax on-board and do some sunbathing, and when we arrive you can go on an orientation walk of stunning Hvar. Here you’ll get to see the largest city square in Dalmatia, the yacht Riva, and the impressive fortress. Join us back on-board for our very own Happy Hour, before venturing out to try the famous Tequila Boom Booms at the epic Kiva bar. Later on, we offer optional entrance to the Carpe Diem beach party to dance the night away to the entrancing deep house beats. Have an incredible first night! (L,D)
Have a nice long sleep in as we depart Hvar early this morning. We’ll have a refreshing swim stop before enjoying some tasty lunch on deck, as we make our way to the island of Korcula. We arrive in the afternoon and have an orientation walk of the medieval Old Town, famous as the historic home of Venetian traveller Marco Polo! We then have dinner on-board tonight before making our way into the Old Town to discover the eclectic nightlife of Korcula. (B, L, D)
We set sail from stunning Hvar bright and early, and breakfast will be served as we chase the sun on our morning meander to Mljet. When you get a bit too warm from all that sunbathing, we’ll be stopping en route for another great swim, followed by a tasty lunch. We drop anchor in Mljet and you have the entire afternoon to explore the island and do whatever you please. The island is home to a large national park with pine forests and abundant nature surrounding two salt lakes. There’s biking, swimming, boating, and sightseeing on offer, so make the most of it! Grab a drink back on board and prepare for a truly stunning sunset. Join in with your Busabout squad tonight for some fantastic food, drink and good times at the Captain’s BBQ. (B, L, D)
Get ready to sail to the stunning Dubrovnik! Enjoy breakfast as we cruise the clear waters on the way to the Croatian coast. After we have a swim stop to cool off, we’ll chow down on lunch before making our arrival. Stretch those suntanned legs with a walk of the awe-inspiring sights around you. Explore some surviving renaissance architecture such as the Sponza Palace, or partake in a Game of Thrones walking tour of the city. For the best views, take a walk along the tops of the city walls! Tonight, explore Dubrovnik’s nightlife and party inside a 15th century fortress at Club Revelin! (B, L, D)
This morning we leave Dubrovnik behind, and sail up the Peljesac Peninsula to the beautiful cultured town of Trestinik. This area is famous for its wine, so you can choose to join us for an optional excursion to a local wine farm. If you’d rather do your own thing, you have plenty of choices on how to spend your day! Relax on a nearby beach, swim in the clear waters, or explore the Old Town further. Tonight we will enjoy another included dinner before drinks at a nearby beach bar. (B, L, D)
We set sail early as the Adriatic carries us gently to the coast of mainland Croatia, and onward to the city of Makarska. We arrive this afternoon and have an orientation walk to help you get your bearings and highlight the sights of this amazing location set at the base of the Biokovo mountains. Then you’ve got some free time to have a wander, so check out the Riviera, get a massage, do a spot of shopping or just relax in one of the many cafes or bars. Tonight, we have a Pirate Party on-board the boat, and then prepare yourself to rave in a cave until the small hours! Tonight’s going to be a good one. (B, L, D)
Have a lie in or relax on deck this morning in the sunshine as we depart Makarska and make our way to the town of Omis. We’ll arrive after our delicious breakfast to have an orientation walk of the town. After we’ve had a look around, we’ll hop back aboard our vessel and journey onwards to Split! When our bellies start to rumble, we’ll have a delicious lunch on-board followed by a swim stop later on. We’ll arrive in the late afternoon, back where it all began. All good things must come to an end, so tonight we head into town for farewell drinks! (B, L, D)
We check-out this morning as our journey comes to an end. If you’re continuing on our Hop-on Hop-off network, the next stop is Venice via Zadar, or maybe visit the national parks on our Croatian Adventure! (B)
Award winning Busabout offers a unique way to travel where you can enjoy the flexibility to go as you please around Europe, but with all of the expertise of a tour guide as you go from place to place. They started in 1998 when they first linked up the best cities and destinations in Europe with a commitment to the independent traveller to make their time, cash and experiences go further. By being the alternative choice they have remained dedicated to their freestyle form of travel and their unique hop-on hop-off flexible coach network.
And if you’re travelling solo, it’s so easy to meet like minded independent travellers and you’ll soon have heaps of new friends on the road. Also with Busabout’s Trip Mates and Community you can even get in touch before you start, so heaps more fun than travelling on trains and buses by yourself.
They live to travel and as travellers themselves they know what makes an unforgettable trip. Sometimes they show you around, other times you are free to explore, either way, they hope to give you choice and plenty of local knowledge. This passion to explore the world (without costing the Earth) has also developed over the years into their innovative Adventures, be it island hopping in Greece and Croatia, trekking through Eastern Europe, exploring a sea cave on the island of Capri, Italy, or discovering the ancient cultures of Egypt and Morocco.
Although they do attract the 18-35 age range, they have no upper age limits on their tours, so be as young as you feel and join them on a travel experience of a lifetime!
