Day 1 Arrive Berlin

Hallo Berlin! This evening we'll meet and greet our new friends and vegan hosts @thelittlelondonvegan and @laurafruitfairy before beginning our culinary journey. And what better place to kick things off than in Germany's eclectic capital? This city has become a haven for vegans over the years, with more than 50 exclusive vegan eateries serving quirky takes on plant-based treats. We'll waste no time getting into the local scene, with a unique EatWith experience, where we'll meet some locals and indulge in a plant-based buffet party. Tonight we'll rest our heads in one of the city's coolest hotels, the oh-so-stylish Moxy.

Day 2 Berlin

Guten Morgen! We'll dive into Berlin today with a vegan food tour, winding through the side streets and lanes to discover a world of street art and vibrant vegan culture, tasting incredible food along the way. We'll wash down all that food with some local Pilsner beer, which has been vegan-friendly since the 1500s! We'll also take the opportunity to explore Berlin’s wider culture and history, including Stumbling Stones: a project recognising victims and survivors from the holocaust. Then, the evening is ours to explore. Jump back into the lanes, discover more plant-based delicacies or maybe check out some of the iconic nightlife.

Day 3 Berlin to Prague via Dresden

Auf Wiedersehen Germany. We'll finish things off today on a poignant note, as we walk along the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, which has since been turned into a dazzling urban art gallery. It's inspirational to see a grey, barbed wire past turn into something so colourful and hopeful for tomorrow, and it's a sight we'll never forget.Stopping off in the elegant city of Dresden, we'll soak up the stately spires and arcing domes before grabbing another delicious lunch at a local vegan cafe.Czech this place out! Our TM will guide us around Prague city this afternoon, and we'll waste no time getting acquainted with the castles, bridges, gothic cathedrals and picture-perfect charm. Tonight we'll visit a vegan restaurant in the heart of Prague's Lesser Town, with spectacular views of Prague's castle.

We already feel on top form from all of the nutritious food we've been feasting on, and today's our opportunity to feel even better. Yep, our full day in Prague is all about wellness vibes. Who needs dairy?Ahh Vienna...another day, another spectacular capital. We'll explore Vienna's grand streets and admire its opulent buildings today, before heading to a vegan boutique to get a taste of Vienna's cruelty-free fashion scene. Then we'll head out for another yummy plant-based dinner, followed by a classical concert. We are in the home of Beethoven after all.

Thank you and goodbye Vienna. We're hungry for all of the vegan goodies that await us in Hungary...Another dreamy lunch stop, this time in Slovakia's richly historical city of Bratislava, with its medieval old town and Renaissance castles. We'll waste no time getting familiar with Hungary's flamboyant capital on an included walking tour, as we stroll along the Danube and admire all of that iconic architecture. Then it's time for our tantalising evening activity: a cooking class led by @thelittlelondonvegan & @laurafruitfairy, as they show us their top techniques for whipping up a delicious plant-based dinner.

Accommodation: A&O Budapest

Day 7 Budapest

It's our final full day (sob), but a relaxing soak in Budapest's world-famous thermal pools is the perfect way to keep a smile on our faces. As we kick back in the medicinal waters, we'll admire the Art Nouveau architecture and fall in love with Hungary even more. Then it's time for our showstopper, a dreamy cruise down the Danube, as we admire the glittering lights, towering gothic buildings and our final dinner together, a vegan feast served on the boat itself. What a way to end on a high.

Touring with Contiki

Started by one man with big dreams in 1962, Contiki now offers over 300 trips to 6 continents for 18 to 35 year olds, with the mantra #NOREGRETS. It’s their way of life; it’s about changing your perspective on the world, walking in other’s shoes, witnessing different cultures, religions, and ways of living; it’s about living in the moment, pushing past your comfort zone, challenging yourself to do the things you never thought possible.

Contiki believe that travel is so much more than just ticking boxes and saying you were there. It’s not about doing things for the sake of doing them, or seeing things just because you should. For them, travel is all about experience. It’s the number of sunsets you’ve watched with best friends, the number of ancient landmarks you’ve visited, the number of times you’ve defied your comfort zone and done the extraordinary. So that’s what their trips are all about – the #NOREGRETS experiences that will make you, the traveller, richer than your wildest dreams.

Their incredible experiences encompass all interests and cultures – bathing in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland, seeing the pyramids of Giza, walking the Great Wall of China, roadtrip along Route 66, watch the sunrise over Uluru, party in Las Vegas, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, zipline through the Costa Rica rainforest, see the Mona Lisa, fly over the Grand Canyon or cuddle a Koala. The cost of your trip ensures Contiki take care of all your travel arrangements, accommodation, breakfasts and dinners, organised activities, plenty of free time and optional ‘me’ time activities to put your own unique stamp on your travel experience.

Contiki cater to all travellers, whether you want to cram in as many destinations as possible and experience everything or stick in one region for a while for an in depth exploration to really get under the skin of the country, they have the trip for you and many other options in between. Choose a purely water-based adventure with their Sailing, Cruise and Beach holidays, or snowy travels with the Winter holidays and even purely camping accommodation to make the most of your holiday budget but still see and experience all your destination has to offer.

Contiki is a founding partner of TreadRight, a not-for-profit foundation established by The Travel Corporation in 2008 to encourage sustainable tourism within its family of amazing travel brands. The TreadRight Foundation acts as an older, wiser sibling to Contiki, guiding them down a more sustainable path. The TreadRight Foundation supports projects that help the environment, protect and conserve ecosystems, and benefit communities. The foundation, along with The Travel Corporation brands, has donated in excess of US$2 million towards international sustainable tourism projects - a figure that continues to rise.
