This trip is the true Andean experience, as it journeys the length of the Andes, from the point where the mountains rise just south of the Caribbean in Colombia through to the magnificent high plateau of Bolivia, the Altiplano. Along the way will be plenty of opportunity for trekking, either with other travellers along the Inca Trail, or away from the hordes on our Wild Andes Trek. Further north around the town of Huaraz, is the Cordillera Blanca, with some of Peru's most spectacular trekking trails, and in Ecuador we have some wonderful trails around spectacular lakes. But there is more to this trip than mountains and walking, and we head into the Ecuadorian Amazon Jungle as well as to some beautiful tropical landscapes on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Perhaps Colombia is the jewel of the whole trip, with its beautiful ancient colonial cities, towns and churches and its charming people. If you want to explore this region in depth, look no further and don't forget you will visit five of the finest Andean cities, Cartagena, Quito, Lima, Cuzco and La Paz.

Maybe it would be better if more of the hotels had warm/hot water but this is a minor detail and I don't mind camping without it. It was just a bit of a shock sometimes when expecting warm water but it was freezing instead.

This trip was one of the best parts of my travelling and I have been recommending Dragoman to everyone I know. I am already looking to see when I can next get on a trip! Excellent leaders and drivers; calm, patient, knowledgeable, and happy to help with absolutely anything.
