If you have 109 days to spare and want to explore North and Central America, then you will want to consider this trip. It travels along the spine of the two regions, through the great mountains and deserts and gives a great and diverse view of the region travelled through.

We travel from the glaciers, ice fields and wildlife of the Northern Rockies and Alaska, through the wonderful national parks of Banff, Jasper, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, and then on into the deserts of Nebraska and Arizona. There is time to explore the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Zion and Bryce Canyon and then for a bit of “civilisation” there’s Las Vegas.

In Mexico, it’s a whole mixture of Mayan, Aztec, Toltec and Zapotec cultures and monuments, which culminate in the astounding beauty of Tikal in Guatemala. But no trip would be complete without beaches, sea and sand and we have plenty of time to chill on Honduras’s Bay Islands and on the Belize Cayes.

Add in the wildlife of Costa Rica, the beauty of Nicaragua, the beaches and beauty of El Salvador and a canal in Panama and you have a pretty staggering journey.

Lisa G

I enjoyed camping in national parks through America & Canada. With highlights being, monument valley, antelope canyon, Yellowstone NP. Also enjoyed the short stays on islands in Belize and Honduras. Each section of the trip covered major highlights of each country. The Central America sections (Panama to Mexico City) was well paced with sufficient time in each place.

Paul H

Enjoyed most the National Parks of North America, amazing scenery.

Ann H
