Day 1: UK/Ireland - Night on board

Whether you're a tech enthusiast, a cultural conoisseur, an intrepid traveller or simply a massive K-Pop fan, it's time to jet off to South Korea! Arrive at your departure airport, ready for a flight to Seoul. Night on board.

Important: If your outbound flight leaves at dawn (before 04:00) you must arrive at the airport the night before the selected departure day.


Day 2: Seoul

Arrive in Seoul, South Korea's capital and a metropolis of futuristic skyscrapers, pop culture, Buddhist temples, and non-stop action. Transfer* to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Perhaps take some time to relax after your journey or head out into the city to treat yourself on the busy shopping boulevards while soaking up some culture at one of the city's historic monuments. Either way, Seoul's vibrant atmosphere is infectious! Overnight stay in Seoul.

Day 3: Seoul

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off on an exciting city tour of Seoul to discover the must-see sights and hidden gems of the capital. First stop is the N Seoul Tower, the tallest tower in Asia perched on top of Namsan Mountain. Enjoy the photo opportunity to take a few snaps before continuing to historic Unhyeongung Palace, a former royal palace, where the museum brings Korean history to life. Next up, time to get stuck into Korean gastronomy with a unique Kimchi making experience. Learn how to make this fermented national dish, considered somewhat of a superfood. After your exploration into Korean cuisine, it's off to the COEX Mall, the largest indoor shopping complex in Seoul, and the SM Artium, home of the country's beloved K-Pop idols, many of which are now big hits back home too. Inside the mall, you'll also find the Starfield Library. A paradise for book lovers, the shelves here display a staggering 50,000 books. The tour ends at Myeongdong station, where you can enjoy further exploring the city using the super-efficient metro system, or return to the hotel to relax. Overnight stay in Seoul.


Day 4: Seoul - Gyeongju

Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to explore the country, and the first stop is the historic village of Andong. Situated on the glistening Nakdong River, your visit to Andong will leave you feeling like you've travelled back in time, with its open-air heritage museums and UNESCO protected traditional buildings, not to mention the stunning natural surroundings. Next, head to Gyeongju, a coastal city bursting with authentic sights, historic architecture and known as the 'museum without walls'. Visit Anapji Pond where you can truly experience the splendour of Korean style. The pond is surrounded by a number of historic temples and lit-up with pretty lights in the evening. Tranquil, beautiful and the perfect place for a magical moonlit stroll. Transfer to the hotel and get ready to discover more of Gyeonju'sights tomorrow! Overnight stay in Gyeongju.


Day 5: Gyeongju - Busan

Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day by exploring Bulguksa Temple, on the slopes of Mount Toham, a treasure of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. This impressive structure tells the tales of days gone by where you can wander around the stone pagodas and discover the brilliant bronze Buddha statues. Continue to Seokguram Grotto, to feel the spiritual atmosphere of this ancient hermitage. Explore the fascinating Daereungwon Tomb, a traditional underground tomb of a mysterious unknown king before transferring to Busan, South Korea's huge port city. Stop to take in the romantic view of Ibagu Gill and Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Transfer to the hotel and relax, ready to continue your exploration tomorrow! Overnight stay in Busan.


Day 6: Busan

Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to immerse yourself in the incredible city of Busan. Begin at the amazing coastal temple of Haedong Yonggungsa, where breathtaking views of the Sea of Japan and dream-like architecture combine. Next, the so-called 'Machu Picchu of Busan' the Gamcheon Culture Village shows you a more colourful side to the city. Complete your tour by getting stuck into the local way of life at Gukje and Jagalchi Markets. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, so why not head down to the sandy beach or join the locals at the night market where you can try some of the weird and wonderful Korean delicacies. Overnight stay in Busan.


Day 7: Busan - Tongyeong - Yeosu

Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to explore more of South Korea's coastal charms. Head to Tongyeong, where a cable car will whisk you to the peak of Mount Mireuksan to take in the spectacular panoramic views of the tiny offshore islands. Descend the mountain and visit Dongpirang Mural Village, an artistic haven and idyllic little community full of colourful street art, tiny cafes and brilliant views. It's also fascinating to experience a different side to life in South Korea, away from the big cities. Continue along the south coast to Yeosu, famed for its beaches, seafood and blossoms.


Day 8: Yeosu - Suncheon - Namwon

Breakfast at the hotel. Just when you think you've seen it all, South Korea continues to surprise you! Head to the Suncheonman Bay Wetland, a paradise of nature and the biggest plantation of reeds in Korea. Here, you can walk along over-water walkways and wander through the pristine environment, home to an abundance of native wildlife. It's like to soak up a bit of culture at Naganeupseong Folk Village, where the well-preserved castle and ancient dwellings give you an insight into the days of the Joseon Dynasty. Stop at Songgwangsa Temple and monastery, which is home to a large number of Buddhist monks and a beautiful example of Seon Buddhist architecture. Continue your journey, passing through ever more beautiful landscapes before arriving in Namwon. Known as the 'City of Love' it's the perfect place to get in touch with nature and with one another, thanks to its beautiful location nestled between the Jirisan mountains. Overnight stay in Namwon.


Day 9: Namwon - Damyang - Jeonju

Breakfast at the hotel. First stop of the day is picturesque Damyang, known for its production of high-quality bamboo and tasty strawberries. Here the Sunchang Village and Juknokwon Bamboo Garden give you a great introduction to the city's past and present. You'll love the tranquil walking paths and waterfalls of the bamboo garden. The natural wonders continue at Metasequoia-lined Road, like something out of a fairytale. Continue to Jeonju, one of South Korea's gastronomic capitals, known for its exceptional food scene. Arrive at the guesthouse and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. You simply must tuck into the local cuisine here, it's a foodie paradise! Get a great insight into the daily lives of Koreans by staying the night in a traditional guesthouse, an authentic and unique experience. Overnight stay in Jeonju.


Day 10: Jeonju - Seoul

Breakfast at the hotel. Having travelled the length and breadth of the country, it's time to return to incredible Seoul, perhaps with a different perspective now that you've seen so much of South Korea! Transfer to the hotel and spend your last night in South Korea at your leisure. It's time to let your hair down and what better way than the capital's favourite after dark pastime: Karaoke! Overnight stay in Seoul.


Day 11: Seoul - Night on board

Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to wave 'Annyeonghaseyo' or goodbye to South Korea after an epic journey through the landscapes, cities and treasures of the country. You've sampled the cuisine, discovered the fusion of modernity and tradition and perhaps even grown fond of K-Pop during your journey. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight back to the UK/Ireland. Night on board.


Day 12: UK/Ireland

Arrive back in the UK/Ireland and end your trip.
