After lunch, continue exploring the park on a wildlife safari drive.

Day 3: Arusha/Mto wa Mbu

Travel to Mto wa Mbu village and take part in a cultural walk to learn about village life in the area. Meet the women who run the village tours and enjoy a delicious home made traditional lunch.

Day 4: Empakaai Crater

Ascend the rift valley escarpment into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and get ready for a beautiful hike into the extinct Empakaai Crater. At the end of the day, enjoy the view from the campsite over Ngorongoro.

Day 5: Ngorongoro/Serengeti National Park

Enter the Serengeti NP and spend the day on a wildlife safari drive in search of the "big five", while taking in the vastness of the Serengeti plains.

Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Serengeti National Park. En route marvel at the sheer vastness of this territory, and spot the multitude of animal and birdlife while cruising through this acacia-accented savanna.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro

Opt for a balloon safari in the morning, or continue on with another wildlife safari drive. The rest of the day will be spent in the Serengeti, finishing the day with sunset on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Enjoy another day of wildlife safari drives to see the animal kingdom come to life in this incredible expanse of grassland savanna. After, journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, famous for Africa's best wildlife viewing. The vistas from the Ngorongoro Crater rim are stunning, and there is an ever-present abundance of animals, due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Arrive at the campsite on the crater rim in the evening.

Day 7: Ngorongoro/Lake Manyara

Head out early for a wildlife safari drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, then enjoy an afternoon biking in Lake Manyara NP - home to the famous tree climbing lions.
