Day Days 1-2 - London and Vancouver

We fly to Vancouver today, where on arrival we check into our hotel. We're introduced to Vancouver on Day 2 with an insightful tour of the city, taking in highlights such as Gastown, the totem poles at Stanley Park, and the unique architecture of Chinatown. Your afternoon is free to explore this vibrant city further. Perhaps take a stroll to Queen Elizabeth Park, a former rock quarry offering panoramic views over the city.

Day Day 3 - Kamloops

Leaving Vancouver behind today, we travel to Kamloops, stopping in the town of Hope for free time to get lunch. Our coach continues via the mountainous Coquihalla Pass, traversing stunning landscapes and reaching 4,000 feet in altitude as we continue on our way to Kamloops.

Day Day 4 - Banff

Today, we continue by coach to Revelstoke, where you have some free time to enjoy lunch. We continue to Banff this afternoon on a scenic drive, passing through yet more of Canada's incredible panoramas. This evening we meet a retired member of The Royal Canadian Mounted Police - or 'Mountie' as they're colloquially known - where we enjoy a fascinating talk and then chance for a photo.

Day Day 5 - Banff & Lake Louise

Experience the beauty of Banff today. First, we explore Lake Louise, a glacier-fed lake surrounded by soaring peaks and dense pine forests. We continue to the Spiral Tunnels. This ingenious piece of railway track is an incredible feat of engineering, allowing trains to traverse the steep, mountainous terrain via two looping tunnels. If we're lucky, we may see a train snaking through the tunnels - a marvellous sight. Next, we see Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. Emerald Lake is known for its fantastic colours, and with free time to enjoy the sights, now might be a great time to practice your photography skills.

Day Day 6 - The Icefields Parkway

Travel by coach along the famous Icefields Parkway, a 144-mile road that links Lake Louise with Jasper and cuts through some of the world's greatest mountain scenery. We arrive at the Columbia Icefields Discovery Centre at the foot of the vast Columbia Icefield. Take the time to marvel at the Athabasca Glacier, during some free time. We continue past many of the highest peaks in the Rockies, pausing at scenic spots including Athabasca Falls. Later, we travel to Jasper for the night.

Day Days 7-9 - The Canadian

You have a free morning in Jasper, before we board The Canadian in the early afternoon for an iconic journey across the country. Our on-board accommodation consists of a cosy berth shielded by a heavy curtain for privacy, and access to shared bathroom facilities in the same sleeper car. During certain times of the day, wander to one of the observation cars for incredible views of the spectacular Canadian landscape the train passes through Jasper National Park.

We spend our first full day on board The Canadian on Day 8 . As we cross the vast Canadian landscapes, take the time to watch the world roll by the windows, absorbing the mesmerising scenery Canada is rightly famous for. All meals are served during our time on board, featuring cuisine that takes influence from the regions we pass through.

On Day 9, our journey on The Canadian continues as we travel towars bustling Toronto. This evening, settle in for our final night on board this iconic train. Perhaps take a final seat in one of the observation carriages to admire the night sky above you, as the train ploughs on.

Day Day 10 - Toronto

Our adventure on board The Canadian ends today, as we pull into the dynamic city of Toronto. The city boasts a wealth of museums and art galleries, excellent restaurants, and thriving shopping areas. Toronoto also has the world's longest street, Yonge Street, and the dramatic CN tower, which was the world's tallest free-standing structure for many years. Your evening is free to discover this incredible, multicultural city.

Day Day 11 - Niagara Falls

This morning, we travel to the US-Canadian border to see the magnificent Niagara Falls, a stunning natural spectacle. We enjoy a boat cruise through the dramatic mists that form at the base of the falls, allowing for up-close views of the thundering waters. We pause at Table Rock viewpoint before continuing to Niagara Gorge to see the natural whirlpool that formed here thousands of years ago. Later, we return to Toronto.

Day Days 12-13 - Toronto and London

After free time, this afternoon we bid a fond farewell to Canada, as we transfer to the airport for our overnight flight to London Heathrow.

  • All rail and coach travel throughout your tour
  • 8 nights' 4 and 5-Star hotel accommodation
