Day Days 1-2 - New Delhi

Begin your Indian adventure at the airport, and board your flight from London Heathrow to New Delhi. On arrival on Day 2, meet your local Tour Manager then transfer to your hotel, the 5* Crowne Plaza Okhla.

After time to settle in and have lunch, embark on an afternoon city tour of New Delhi. Here, see some of the most spectacular sights of this lively city, including the presidential and Parliament buildings, Humayan's Tomb, and India Gate. This evening, enjoy your first dinner together at the hotel.

Day Day 3 - To Agra

This morning, you embark on a guided tour of beautiful Old Delhi, enjoying a rickshaw ride through the buzzing and lively streets nestled within the Old Town of India's colourful city.

Perhaps the most famous sight here is the enormous Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. This stunning and symmetrical building is a breathtaking sight, standing proud over a spacious courtyard, featuring two 40 meter minarets, and three great gates.

This afternoon, transfer by coach to Agra, home to the Taj Mahal. On arrival, continue to your hotel, the 5* Clarks Shiraz.

Day Day 4 - Taj Mahal and Agra Fort

This morning, you enjoy an early morning trip to the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This white marble structure was built for Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved wife of the Emperor Shah Jahan, and it is her tomb that is located in the very centre of the building.

Here, enjoy a guided tour and a view of the beautiful sunrise. The morning turns the stunning facade of the Taj Mahal from orange, to pink, to white, in a truly breathtaking display. Return to your hotel for breakfast.

Later on, visit the Agra Fort, an imposing red sandstone complex that also boasts a UNESCO World Heritage listing. After a guided tour here, the rest of your day is at leisure.

Day Day 5 - Fatehpur Sikri

Explore Fatehpur Sikri this morning. This incredible city was built in the 16th century and was meant to become the capital for the Mughal Empire. After 14 years, it was abandoned due to lack of water, and still stands, almost frozen in time, exactly as it was 400 years ago.

Enjoy some time to explore the ghostly buildings before traveling to Bharatpur, where you enjoy lunch and transfer to the train station for your journey on the Shatabdi Express to Sawai Madhopur. From here, travel to your hotel, the Ranthambore Regency, which is situated near the Ranthambore National Park.

Day Day 6 - Ranthambore National Park

You head into Ranthambore National Park today for a morning and an afternoon game drive. Here, you have the chance to spot many rare animals, including leopards and panthers. There are also a plethora of other creatures available to try and see, such as hyenas, marsh crocodiles and sloth bears.

Perhaps the most popular animal in the park, however, is the tiger. This park is one of the very few places in India where it is possible to spot one of these incredible creatures in the wild.

Day Day 7 - To Jaipur

This morning, you are at leisure. After lunch, transfer by coach to Jaipur, where you check in to our hotel.

Day Day 8 - Jaipur

Today is spent exploring the marvellous 'Pink City' of Jaipur. Start your tour with a trip by Jeep to the Amber Fort, an ancient sandstone building that was used as the royal stronghold. After time to explore the myriad of rooms, filled with wall paintings, mirrors, and precious stones, transfer over to the City Palace, the home to the current Maharaja of Jaipur.

You also see the 18th century Astronomical Observatory, and the spectacular Palace of the Winds, an opulent building that was created for royal ladies to look over the city without being seen.

Day Day 9 - At leisure in Jaipur

Today can either be spent at leisure, or on one of two optional tours. You may like to go to the Albert Hall Museum, which serves as the state museum of Rajasthan, followed by a visit to the stunning white Birla Temple (payable locally). Another option is to enjoy a day of shopping in Jaipur. Often considered as one of the best cities in which to shop in India, there are a diverse range of shops and stalls to keep you entertained for the day.

Another option is to embark upon an optional morning tour, taking in the Albert Hall Museum, which serves as the state museum of Rajasthan, followed by a visit to the stunning white Birla Temple (payable locally).
