Enjoy the opportunity to take a trip behind the majestic steam locomotive, the Union of South Africa during a wonderfully festive journey exclusively for our customers on Friday 10th December. Built in 1937, this iconic locomotive is one of only six surviving Gresley A4s. She also carried Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip for the official re-opening of the Borders Railway in 2015. We combine this with visits to the world-famous Bury Market and Manchester’s magical, award-winning Christmas Markets; a splendid way to get into the festive spirit!
