The Isle of Wight has been a popular seaside destination since Queen Victoria chose to spend her family holidays here in the 19th century. With its elegant resort towns and miles of unspoilt coastline, the island’s timeless charms are sure to make for a relaxing festive break away.

Shanklin Beach Hotel

The Shanklin Beach Hotel is located on Shanklin’s seafront, offering stunning sea views. The contemporary en-suite rooms feature satellite TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. The hotel also offers a bar and restaurant with views of the esplanade.

Coach Itinerary

Experience Christmas with an Isle of Wight Coach Break

23rd December
After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.

Christmas Eve – Optional excursion to Cowes, Yarmouth & Ventnor (£11pp)
Our optional excursion takes us first to Cowes, home to the world-famous regatta. Many of the town’s ornate buildings date from Queen Victoria’s time, in the style popularised by her consort Prince Albert.  Next is the historic port town of Yarmouth which contains some of the oldest architecture on the island including a 16th-century castle. Finally we visit Ventnor, a pretty resort built on a series of terraces.

Christmas Day
Christmas Day is a wonderful day of leisure at our hotel where, following breakfast, we enjoy Christmas carols on the TV with tea, coffee and mince pies. Later we indulge in a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings followed by tea and Christmas cake in the afternoon. A candlelit buffet is served in the evening.

Boxing Day – Shanklin & Pantomime
We enjoy some time at leisure in Shanklin, a charming resort in the sheltered south-east corner of the island. Later, we take our seats for a fun-filled pantomime performance at the Shanklin Theatre before heading back to the hotel for bingo and a quiz with tea and biscuits.

27th December
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.
