On this break, step inside the Old Royal Naval College with a ticket to 500 Years of History & Painted Hall. See the former grounds of the Palace of Placentia, tour Sir Christopher Wren’s landmark buildings and enjoy entrance to the Painted Hall. One of the most important and spectacular baroque interiors in Europe, the elaborate ceiling and wall decorations of the Painted Hall are the work of Sir James Thornhill dating back to the early 18th century. The impressive Hall reopened in March 2019, after a two-year National Lottery Funded conservation project which has brought its magnificent painted interior vividly back to life. Now is your chance to see this masterpiece for yourself!

This great-value break also includes accommodation at the 4-star Tower Hotel located in central London as well as a 24-hour Thames River Pass. Cruise along the Thames and hop on and hop off the boat as you please; the perfect way to travel around the city and soak up the sights and sounds of London.

Day 1: Make your own way to London. Spend the day at leisure and check in to your hotel in the afternoon. You may choose to start making use of your 24-hour Thames River Pass straightaway to help you get around the city, as the nearest stop is only a two minute walk from the hotel. From a trip on the London Eye, to a spot of shopping on Oxford Street or strolling through Hyde Park – there is plenty to do and your River Pass will make getting there easy.

Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, head to the Old Royal Naval College for your included admission. You may like to use your Thames River Pass to travel from Tower Pier, located near to the hotel, to Greenwich Pier, next to the College. Wander the grounds and admire the Hall at your leisure and then return home when you choose.
