Day 1 UK-Perth

After taking Saga's included UK door-to-door travel service to Heathrow, fly to Perth.

Day 2 Perth

Arriving in the afternoon you'll be met from the airport and taken to the locally rated 4-star Rendezvous Perth Central for a three-night stay.

Day 3 Perth

Join an included sightseeing tour of this 'new frontier city', then take a short cruise to Fremantle. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner tonight. B, D

Day 4 Perth

Explore Perth at your leisure or choose to join optional excursions to the Pinnacles Desert or Rottnest Island. B

Day 5 Perth-Alice Springs

Fly to Alice Springs, originally founded as a staging point for the overland telegraph line in the 1870s. You stay overnight at the locally rated 4-star Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters. B, D

Day 6 Alice Springs-Uluru

Journey through the outback to Uluru (formerly known as Ayers Rock). Stay overnight at the locally rated 4-star Desert Gardens Hotel. B, D

Day 7 Uluru-Cairns

Perhaps take to the skies on an optional helicopter flight to experience the natural wonder of Uluru from the air. Fly to Cairns for four nights at the locally rated 4-star Novotel Oasis, situated within walking distance of the city's waterfront, art galleries and shops. B

Day 8 Cairns

Perhaps join an optional excursion to the village of Kuranda where you can ride the Historic Scenic Railway through the rainforest. B

Day 9 Great Barrier Reef

Travel by catamaran to Green Island on today's included excursion. Take the opportunity to go snorkelling or see the marine life on a trip by glass-bottom boat and learn all about the largest marine park in the world. After a buffet lunch, you might then want to simply relax on the sandy beach before heading back to the mainland.B, L

Day 10 Cairns

A variety of optional excursions are available today. B

Day 11 Cairns-Sydney

Fly to Sydney where you stay for four nights at the locally rated 4-star Vibe Hotel. B, D

Day 12 Sydney

You will see the very best of the city on today's included full-day tour. Discover the elegant quarter of Paddington and the Rocks, a beautifully-restored area of cobbled streets where the first European settlers stepped ashore on January 26, 1788. Continue to the Sydney Opera House for a guided tour, and then on to Circular Quay for a sightseeing cruise around Sydney harbour with lunch and a drinks party included on board. B, L

Day 13 Sydney

Spend the day at leisure or join an optional excursion into the wine-growing region of the Hunter Valley. B

Day 14 Sydney

Perhaps explore the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains on an optional excursion. B

Day 15 Sydney-Melbourne

Fly to Melbourne for four nights at the locally rated 4-star Crown Promenade. B

Day 16 Melbourne

Melbourne is an intriguing blend of skyscrapers, elegant Colonial-style buildings, stately churches and leafy avenues. Today's included full-day tour will encompass Queen Victoria Market, Captain Cook's cottage, historic Williamstown and more. B

Day 17 Melbourne

Spend the day at leisure, perhaps by soaking up the atmosphere of Federation Square, or you could join an optional excursion to Phillip Island to see the penguins! B

Day 18 Melbourne

You have more free time to explore this exciting city or you could join an optional trip along the scenic Great Ocean Road. Enjoy a special farewell dinner cruise this evening on Melbourne's Yarra River. B, D

Travel to the airport for your overnight flight. B
