Kufstein is a busy little town, just over the border from Bavaria, known as 'the Pearl of the Tyrol'. The Andreas Hofer is a comfortable and modern family-run hotel in the town centre.

Three wonderful destinations will be visited in our trip today. We call at the quaint town of Brienz, famous for its wood carving heritage, before going on to the bustling town of Interlaken and continuing to see charming Thun.
Set amidst hilly vineyards, the charming city of Bolzano is the gateway to the Italian Dolomites and has lots to see, including the medieval centre and the majestic cathedral.
Be sure to take in some of the town’s great sights too, such as the statue of Walther von der Vogelweide on Walther Square, the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology, the gothic Bolzano Cathedral and the Bolzano Victory Monument.
We call at the beautiful city of Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region and surrounded by mountains. Enjoy a stroll along the main streets and see the famous Golden Roof building, which is the city's famous landmark. Why not try one of the local snacks, such as the cured meats or famous torte cake?
Travelling eastwards we take a short train trip to Lake Chiemsee, before going on to alpine Berchtesgaden, where we visit the Eagle’s Nest, looking over the Bavarian Alps below.
On our journey through the heart of beautiful Switzerland, we call at the charming city of Lucerne, set on Lake Lucerne and surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks. Be sure to visit the colourful Old Town here and take a walk across the famous wooden Chapel Bridge, which is decorated with charming frescoes. Relax and enjoy a drink on one of the lakeside cafes or browse the fashionable shops on the pedestrianised streets.
Today we enjoy a full day excursion, enjoying the wonderful scenery around the northern shores of popular Lake Garda. We’ll also call at the popular town of Riva del Garda, where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the pretty, winding streets and visit the historic town centre.
Today we cross into southern Bavaria, enjoying the surrounding alpine scenery. We’ll visit awesome Neuschwanstein Castle, built by the shy King Ludwig as a personal retreat, but now one of Europe’s most visited attractions.
Why not join our optional trip and take to the water, for opportunity to take in the serene surrounding views, as we travel from the bustling town of Riva across to pretty Limome.
Day 1: UK to Germany
We’ll join our coach and make our way from the UK to Germany, via Calais, enjoying dinner en route before our overnight stay. (Dinner)
Day 2: Germany to Kufstein
In the morning, we’ll continue our journey down through Germany to reach Kufstein in Austria, across the border from Bavaria, where we’ll stay for two nights at the Hotel Andreas Hofer (or similar). Located close to the pedestrian zone, you can enjoy an evening stroll in the town. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3: Southern Bavaria
Today we venture into Bavaria, we visit awesome Neuschwanstein Castle, in an idyllic setting overlooking the alps. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4: Kufstein to Tauplitz
We travel eastwards, taking a short scenic train trip down to reach Lake Chiemsee. We continue on into Austria, where we stay for two nights in Tauplitz at the Hotel Seebacherhof. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5: Austrian Lakes
Explore the beautiful Austrian Lake District today as we enjoy a scenic leisurely tour, seeing Lake Fuschl and Lake Mondsee. We also enjoy a lake cruise from St Gilgen to St Wolfgang. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6: Tauplitz to St Anton
Continuing westwards through the heart of Austria, we call at the wonderful city of Innsbruck, surrounded my mountain landscapes. After time to explore, we continue to the Hotel Kertess (or similar) for an overnight stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 7: St Anton to Garda
Crossing into Italy, we’ll visit the pretty town of Bolzano, at the heart of the Italian Alps, before going on to reach Garda for our two night stay. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8: Lake Garda
A wonderful day exploring the shores of Lake Garda lies ahead, as we journey around the north of this beautiful lake, calling at popular Riva del Garda. You’ll have chance to join an optional lake cruise, from Riva to Limone. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9: Lake Garda to Lake Como
Departing Garda, we head to our next Lake and the bustling town of Como, where you’ll have some free time to relax this afternoon or join our optional trip to Bellagio. We’ll stay at the Hotel Como (or similar) this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10: Lake Como to Lucerne
Our next country awaits as we cross into Switzerland and pass pretty Lake Lugano, before continuing up through the superb scenery to reach Lucerne. After time to explore, we continue to the Hotel Paxmontana in Flueli for two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 11: Flueli
Relax in our peaceful resort today, or you may choose to venture into Lucerne or join an optional excursion to see more of Switzerland. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 12: Flueli to France
Time to say goodbye to Switzerland today, as we head northwards to our final overnight hotel in France. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 13: France to UK
We’ll return to the UK today, travelling via Calais and then continuing home. (Breakfast)
