Day 1: Home to Belfast
Make your own way to your airport of choice for your outbound flight to Belfast. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to our hotel for where we will stay for two nights. Your luxury tour coach will join you at the hotel later today, and dinner tonight is the perfect chance to get to know your fellow adventurers! (Dinner)
Day 2: Belfast and St Patrick’s Centre
After breakfast this morning, we’ll visit the interesting St Patrick’s Centre in Downpatrick where we can explore the life and legacy of Ireland’s Patron Saint. This afternoon there’ll be free time to explore Belfast at leisure – why not visit the Titanic Quarter or take one of the city’s famous Black Cab Tours? We then return to our hotel for our delicious evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3: Belfast to Derry, via the Antrim Coast and Giant’s Causeway
Today will be one of the true highlights of the holiday with a visit to the breathtaking Giant’s Causeway! We check out of our hotel after breakfast and journey along the Northern Irish coast, taking in the ever-changing, ever-spectacular scenery of County Antrim along the way. We’ll then reach the spectacular Giant’s Causeway, where 40,000 symmetrical columns rise dramatically from the sea. As the story goes, this was built by Irish giant Finn McCool so his Scottish lover could walk across the sea to be with him. We end the day in Londonderry, where we stay for two nights, and enjoy a welcome drink before dinner this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4: Londonderry
Learn about Londonderry’s rich history with our knowledgeable local guide as you walk the old city walls, look down on the moving bogside murals, and hear all about what this vibrant city has to offer. Later, explore this for yourself at your own pace. If you want to explore more of the city’s history, why not visit the Tower Museum, Siege Museum or the especially poignant Museum of Free Derry, or for those who prefer shopping The Craft Village showcases produce, art and crafts made by local artisans. We then return to our hotel for our evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5: Londonderry to Galway, via Strabane, Omagh and Belleek
After breakfast we’ll check out of our hotel and wave farewell to Northern Ireland and cross into the Republic as we make our way to Galway. Along the way we’ll take in the rugged landscapes of County Mayo and County Sligo and admire the scenery of Strabane, Omagh and Belleek. We arrive on the outskirts of Galway and our next hotel where we’ll stay for two nights, enjoying a welcome drink before dinner this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6: Galway and Cliffs of Moher
We journey through the unique rocky landscape of The Burren to reach the magnificent Cliffs of Moher. As well as taking in the stunning coastal scenery we’ll also visit the interesting Atlantic Edge Exhibition before returning to Galway with free time explore this city. Why not stroll from the winding lanes of the Latin Quarter and browse the boutiques, art galleries and traditional pubs and cafes? (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 7: Galway to Killarney
Checking out of our hotel after breakfast, we’ll continue our journey south, stopping at Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum. Discover the era of transatlantic passenger flights, the invention of Irish Coffee and the maritime history of the River Shannon. We then continue on to the 'Jewel of Ireland', Killarney where we’ll spend two nights. This town is bursting with traditional Irish charm, with live music pouring out of every pub and the sound of horses' hooves throughout the streets. We’ll enjoy a glass of Guinness on arrival at hotel before our delicious evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8: The Ring of Kerry
Another real highlight of the holiday with a journey around the magnificent Ring of Kerry - truly one of the world's most scenic journeys! Stunning seascapes and soaring mountains ahead as we embark on a 100 mile sightseeing spectacular along the coastal road. Make sure you have you camera at the ready! (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9: Killarney to Waterford
Waving farewell to Ireland’s wild Atlantic West coast, we’ll journey onwards to its ancient East. Here we’ll reach Waterford, the country’s oldest city which was founded by Vikings in 914 AD. The city is famed for its spectacular crystal and we’ll learn more about it and see some beautiful examples at the House of Waterford Crystal, before continuing onto our hotel for the next two nights, enjoying a welcome punch and evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10: Waterford
Explore this medieval city at leisure with a free day to do whatever you choose! Why not visit the Viking Triangle, where in just one square mile you’ll find Reginald’s Tower, The Bishop’s Palace and the Medieval Museum, as well as the House of Waterford Crystal and the Theatre Royal. Make sure you’re at the hotel in time for our delicious evening meal tonight. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 11: Waterford to Dublin
After breakfast we leave Waterford and travel northwards to Dublin, our second capital city of the holiday. There’ll be free time in the city this afternoon to explore, before continuing to our hotel on the outskirts for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 12: Dublin
A whole day to explore this fantastic city! Perhaps you’d like to visit the EPIC museum down near the docks which tells the story of Irish Emigration, or the National Leprechaun Museum of Ireland if you’d prefer something a little more whimsical. Grafton Street is famous for its shops and for its buskers who perform to the shoppers here, and Trinity College is bursting with history and the famous Book of Kells. And of course no visit to Dublin would be complete with a visit to Temple Bar – a district full of pubs and bar on the southside of the River Liffey. Make your way back to the hotel for the evening meal tonight. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 13: Dublin to home
Today you will be transferred to Dublin Airport for your return flight home, with fond memories of the Emerald Isle to take with you. (Breakfast)
