A land built on myths and legends and sustained by local charm and hospitality, the Emerald Isle is a place of stories. Create your own with our tour around the wild landscapes, the dramatic seascapes and the charismatic towns, and perhaps share a tale or two over a pint of the ‘black stuff’. 

We start in the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast, a city famed for maritime history and its connection to the RMS Titanic. We then continue around the coast, taking in the ever-changing, ever-spectacular scenery of County Antrim, and of course, the breathtaking Giant's Causeway. Onwards to Londonderry, a city with many names, but as the locals say 'Londonderry, Derry, or simply Legend-Derry!'. Walk the old city walls and take a look down on the bogside murals which commemorate this city's troubled past and hopeful future. We wave farewell to Northern Ireland and cross into the Republic, taking in the rugged landscapes of County Mayo and County Sligo along the way, perhaps getting our first real taste of 'rural Ireland'. We continue to Galway, an arty and bohemian city, before making our way south to the 'Jewel of Ireland', Killarney. This town is bursting with traditional Irish charm, with live music pouring out of every pub and the sound of horses' hooves throughout the streets. It's from here that we'll explore the magnificent Ring of Kerry - truly one of the world's most scenic journeys! Onwards to the ancient east of Ireland, and the medieval streets of Waterford, before continuing onto our second capital, Dublin. Adventure and a warm welcome are sure to await you in enchanting Ireland!

Day 1: Home to Scottish Borders

Today we travel by luxury coach to the border region of England and Scotland, where we’ll spend one night and enjoy an evening meal. Onboard you’ll enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and Roadshow, our onboard entertainment system. (Dinner)



Day 2: Scottish Borders to Belfast

We’ll check out of our overnight hotel and continue to Cairnryan where will take the ferry over to Northern Ireland. From here we’ll continue on to Belfast and to our hotel for where we will stay for three nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 3: Belfast

A day at leisure in the capital of Northern Ireland. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then make the most of the whole day to explore, or if you prefer, relax in the hotel and enjoy the facilities. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 4: Belfast and St Patrick’s Centre

After breakfast this morning, we’ll visit the interesting St Patrick’s Centre in Downpatrick where we can explore the life and legacy of Ireland’s Patron Saint. This afternoon there’ll be free time to explore Belfast at leisure – why not visit the Titanic Quarter or take one of the city’s famous Black Cab Tours? We then return to our hotel for our delicious evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 5: Belfast to Derry, via the Antrim Coast and Giant’s Causeway

Today will be one of the true highlights of the holiday with a visit to the breathtaking Giant’s Causeway! We check out of our hotel after breakfast and journey along the Northern Irish coast, taking in the ever-changing, ever-spectacular scenery of County Antrim along the way. We’ll then reach the spectacular Giant’s Causeway, where 40,000 symmetrical columns rise dramatically from the sea. As the story goes, this was built by Irish giant Finn McCool so his Scottish lover could walk across the sea to be with him. We end the day in Londonderry, where we stay for two nights, and enjoy a welcome drink before dinner this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 6: Londonderry

Learn about Londonderry’s rich history with our knowledgeable local guide as you walk the old city walls, look down on the moving bogside murals, and hear all about what this vibrant city has to offer. Later, explore this for yourself at your own pace. If you want to explore more of the city’s history, why not visit the Tower Museum, Siege Museum or the especially poignant Museum of Free Derry, or for those who prefer shopping The Craft Village showcases produce, art and crafts made by local artisans. We then return to our hotel for our evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 7: Londonderry to Galway, via Strabane, Omagh and Belleek

After breakfast we’ll check out of our hotel and wave farewell to Northern Ireland and cross into the Republic as we make our way to Galway. Along the way we’ll take in the rugged landscapes of County Mayo and County Sligo and admire the scenery of Strabane, Omagh and Belleek.  We arrive on the outskirts of Galway and our next hotel where we’ll stay for two nights, enjoying a welcome drink before dinner this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 8: Galway and Cliffs of Moher

We journey through the unique rocky landscape of The Burren to reach the magnificent Cliffs of Moher. As well as taking in the stunning coastal scenery we’ll also visit the interesting Atlantic Edge Exhibition before returning to Galway with free time explore this city. Why not stroll from the winding lanes of the Latin Quarter and browse the boutiques, art galleries and traditional pubs and cafes?  (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 9: Galway to Killarney 

Checking out of our hotel after breakfast, we’ll continue our journey south, stopping at Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum. Discover the era of transatlantic passenger flights, the invention of Irish Coffee and the maritime history of the River Shannon. We then continue on to the 'Jewel of Ireland', Killarney where we’ll spend two nights. This town is bursting with traditional Irish charm, with live music pouring out of every pub and the sound of horses' hooves throughout the streets. We’ll enjoy a glass of Guinness on arrival at hotel before our delicious evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 10: The Ring of Kerry

Another real highlight of the holiday with a journey around the magnificent Ring of Kerry - truly one of the world's most scenic journeys! Stunning seascapes and soaring mountains ahead as we embark on a 100 mile sightseeing spectacular along the coastal road. Make sure you have you camera at the ready! (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 11: Killarney to Waterford

Waving farewell to Ireland’s wild Atlantic West coast, we’ll journey onwards to its ancient East. Here we’ll reach Waterford, the country’s oldest city which was founded by Vikings in 914 AD. The city is famed for its spectacular crystal and we’ll learn more about it and see some beautiful examples at the House of Waterford Crystal, before continuing onto our hotel for the next two nights, enjoying a welcome punch and evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 12: Waterford

Explore this medieval city at leisure with a free day to do whatever you choose! Why not visit the Viking Triangle, where in just one square mile you’ll find Reginald’s Tower, The Bishop’s Palace and the Medieval Museum, as well as the House of Waterford Crystal and the Theatre Royal. Make sure you’re at the hotel in time for our delicious evening meal tonight. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 13: Waterford to Dublin

After breakfast we leave Waterford and travel northwards to Dublin, our second capital city of the holiday. There’ll be free time in the city this afternoon to explore, before continuing to our hotel on the outskirts for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 14: Dublin to North Wales

We check out of our hotel after breakfast and take the ferry back to the UK. After arriving in Holyhead we’ll get back aboard your luxury coach for the journey to our overnight hotel  in North Wales where we’ll enjoy an evening meal. (Breakfast, Dinner)



Day 15: North Wales to home

Time to say goodbye today, after a delicious cooked breakfast at the hotel you’ll check out and get back aboard your luxury coach for the journey home. (Breakfast)
