Day One: Home to Dublin area
We make our way to Holyhead, and join the ferry over to Ireland, going on to our overnight stay in the Dublin area.(D)
Day Two: Dublin area to Donegal via Enniskillen
We head north westwards, calling at pretty Enniskillen, set on a natural island separating the two sections of Lough Erne. We enjoy a cruise on the Lower Lough, before heading on to Donegal town, where we will stay for four nights at the Central Hotel with entertainment on most evenings. (B,D)
Day Three: Coastal Tour
We enjoy a scenic drive, calling at the pretty fishing town of Killybegs and pass Slieve League, the highest marine cliffs in Europe. We also visit the interesting Glencolmcille Folk Village Museum, before returning to Donegal. (B,D)
Day Four: Glenveagh National Park
We venture into the Glenveagh National Park at the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north west of the county, calling at the interesting Glenveagh Visitor Centre. On then to the town of Dungloe and the fascinating Daniel O'Donnell Visitor Centre. (B,D)
Day Five: A day at leisure in Donegal
Enjoy your free day today to relax in the hotel and enjoy the leisure facilities, explore Donegal town or venture further afield. Our hotel is in the centre of the town so it is easy to explore – take a stroll around ‘The Diamond’ market square, enjoy the coastal views or maybe relax in a traditional pub. (B,D)
Day Six: Donegal to Dublin area
After a leisurely morning we head back across country to the Dublin area, where we visit the popular Guinness Storehouse for a fascinating insight into this famous tipple. (B,D)
Day Seven: Dublin area to home
It is time to take our ferry crossing back to Holyhead and continue home, but we hope that you enjoyed your break with us to Donegal. (B)
