Time stands still in the Canadian Maritimes... preserving a way of life that honors the land and sea – and a cultural mix of early French, Irish, Scottish and English influences. Halifax invites reflection with gracious Victorian parks and gardens. Fishing hamlets in Nova Scotia celebrate their rich seafaring heritage. Diverse cultural influences are chronicled in Lunenburg; in Acadian rug making traditions that produced "talking" works of art chronicling the struggles of pioneer families; and at the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts. Culinary specialties are on the menu from fresh lobster on Prince Edward Island to a Nova Scotia oyster shucking demonstration to a “Kitchen Party” at the Keltic Lodge. Tauck's New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia tour immerses you in the lure and lore of this down-to-earth, mystical world of mountain lakes, eagles, whales, fishermen, and the sea.

5* Christmas Markets Along the Danube, Eastbound
Tauck's attention to detail is what makes traveling with them so remarkable. This was our first Tauck trip, but certainly not our last. We enjoyed all aspects of the cruise. As this was our first visit to Germany & Austria, being there during Christmas season with so many festive markets & holiday celebrations, the experience was unforgettable! It's the small things I remember most! A custom made cocktail, remembering our names on day 2, being in the hot tub at midnight under the cold night sky, the ease of leaving/returning to the ship, being greeted each time with a warm towel/hot beverage, the excellent tours & guides, special performances & unexpected activities onboard, and Vienna!

5* A wonderful trip to the Canadian Maritimes
I was surprised that our trip had 44 people but was pleasantly surprised how everyone was on time and very friendly. I loved the sights we saw and I especially loved our tour guide and his driver. They were awesome and very funny and kind. They should be commended for being excellent at their jobs. It is not easy corralling 44 people. Every moment was memorable and the people on our tour really got along well. I think the best time I had was our next to last stop at the Keltic Lodge. I was fortunate to have a porch and a water view and we had plenty to do including a nature walk.

4* Chrisatmas Markets 2015
The boat was beautiful and the people were very nice. The excursions were great. The little extras did make it a special trip. The area that would need attention is the food service area. Night when it was open sitting, the service was very slow with lots of areas that we did not feel we were at a nice restaurant. The special extra germany lunch we had on one of the tours was great.

5* AMAZING!! Wonderful, magical way to celebrate Christmas!
Great variety of markets/excursions - great itinerary. The staff was so attentive, yet warm/friendly. The Savor is a gorgeous boat – love the loft stateroom! So elegant with the warmth of home! One note: the bar staff was great, but should be more familiar with common drinks like Jack & Diet or Rum & Coke. Go with Tauck - others don't compare! Lunch at the Schonbrunn palace in Vienna - greeted by white-gloved waiters with Champagne after a wonderful tour of the palace - memory of a life-time that only Tauck can make!

5* The Beaurtiful Canadian Maritimes
The weather in July in the Canadian Maritimes is just about perfect. We had complete days of sunshine, but also days of clouds, rain and fog - which only added to the allure of the entire area! And the different topographical features were unique - from the rolling hills and fields of PEI, to the craggy coastline of Cape Breton Island. We had the opportunity of being on Cape Breton Island when the fog, rain and mist enshrouded the rugged coast. The action of the wind and waves made for some wonderful photos!

4* You Can't Help the Weather
The Canadian Maritimes were beautiful, the green lush forests, the rocky ocean cliffs, the lakes, the lobster traps and boats, the friendly people were all and more than expected. You can't count on the weather, expecting to have mild weather, we had hot humid days with the flies and mosquitoes that come with the humidity. We enjoyed our time at the Gaelic College learning about NS Scottish Gaelic culture. There was a lesson on the language. We learned a song. We took part in an old tradition on tightening the wool weaving. We listened to traditional fiddle music and learned about slap dancing. We saw how to dress in a kilt. Fascinating, interesting, and fun!

2* Is Tauck cutting back?
First, let me qualify: If Tauck had the reputation (and pricing to go along with it) that were much less than its high rep and prices, I would have given this tour 3-4 stars. But for this pricing, I expected a lot more in terms of high-quality food/service and better hotel rooms. BIG PLUS: Tour Director and Driver were the very best. Many highlights on this trip! The public gardens in Halifax, picturesque Lunenburg, more beautiful seascapes than you can imagine, the tides coming in at Hopewell Rocks, the Cape Breton coastline. Put it all together for one great memorable moment. Supporting cast: Met some great people, and all possible via excellent Tour Director and Driver!

4* Canadian Maritimes
Positives: accommodations, food, tour leader, bus driver. Negatives: 1. 42 people! Did not expect this large a group with Tauck. 2. Not enough time at Lunenburg, Hopewell Rocks and Bell museum. Felt rushed at each location. Trip to Alma was unnnecessary and out of the way just to eat. Should have had more time at Hopewell Rocks Museum instead. 1. Stay at Keltic Lodge. Hike there was challenging but fun! 2. Wonderful seafood thruout the trip. A special treat was the fantastic meal at the ‘Windjammer Restaurant’ in Moncton, New Brunswick. 3.The friendly fellow travelers.

5* Canadian Maritimes first timeers
First time on Tauck and first time in the Maritimes--a FABULOUS combination. Our Tour Director made each day fun and an adventure, even the rainy ones. Food was too good and at each stop we felt very welcomed. Our driver was great especially navigating roads with twists and turns. Trip was well planned and we are planning our next one Getting to walk on ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks knowing how deep the water would be in a couple hours

4* Canadian Maritimes - Sept 2017
Our trip was one of the best we have taken. The tour offered a variety of activities from beautiful views and landscapes to cultural experiences like we've never experienced before. The Canadian Maritimes are spectacular, especially as the autumn leaves are coming into full color. The tour director and the motor coach driver really made the tour. The entire environment of the Canadian Maritimes with the beautiful vistas and landscapes, the cultural experiences of the Gaelic College and the extraordinary artistry on display at the rug hooking museum, and the small features included such as learning about lobster trapping and the history of the Maritimes.

5* Loved, loved, loved this River Cruise!
We weren't sure what to expect on this trip but we had such a wonderful time! The markets we visited were sooo charming; full of families and wonderful hand-crafted Christmas mementos. Germany and Austria were even more enchanting than we imagined. Needed an extra bag to get everything home! Ship crew was superb; fellow passengers the best ever! Some of our best memories were of dinners/social time with some of the best fellow travelers we have experienced so far. Also, the markets at Passau stood out for us - such beautiful, hand-crafted, unique items. The Documentation Center in Nuremberg shouldn't be missed.

4* Beautiful scenery
Trip was very scenic, all the coast line of the Maritimes. In general there was too much time spent on the bus for us -- due to the long distances to get to new places, and limited amount of places to visit I suspect. Seeing the Hopewell Rocks, and the time lapse imaging of the tide coming in and then going out again.

4* Exceptional tour guide + remarkable itinerary = wonderful vacation.
Our tour guide was the foundation of a memorable experience. His personal background ( born, raised, and educated in the "Maritimes") enhanced his discourses about the places we visited. He provided a historical perspective that enriched each each stop on the itinerary. As usual the food and accommodations were "Tauck" excellent. Hopewell Rocks is one of many "memorable moments."

5* Great food - Great weather - Great director!
It was grand! Started off gloomy, and almost rainy (also a bit nippy). But that all changed. Warm and sunny days, heavenly food, great companions. We were led into several places by a bagpipe (Tauck's done this before) so now I'll never hear a bagpipe without beautiful Tauck memories. Rained the last day (bus day) Our Tauck Director was a jewel!! Keep her! That's hard. Walking on the ocean floor has to be one. The Gaspe Peninsula another. And the lobster dinner at New Glasgow!!! There are no words to describe the feast. And the mussles, and the seafood chowder, and the lobster rolls. And of course the bag pipes. I also liked the visit to the Scottish gaelic college.

5* Winter Wonderland
Tauck made this special time of year in Austria and Germany even more special. Everyday there was a little surprise for us. The cities and markets on the cruise are perfect. It's like being in a fairytale at Christmas Time. The visit to the Rathaus market in Vienna at night.

4* Wonderful Christmas Adventure
Nothing puts you in the spirit of Christmas like a river boat cruise. It is so fun to see all the decorations and visit the markets. I would have to say the best lights are in Strasbourg, the Koln Cathedral is magnificent! Koln Cathedral and chandeliers in Strasbourg.

3* Pretty Coastlines, not much else
Too much bus time. Accommodations were OK but hardly memorable. Had a lovely tour director that helped pass the time. Disappointed that the fall colors were late this year. All in all, I'd pick a different trip for the money. I'm stumped.

3* Canadian Maritimes
The tour director, bus driver, and the bus itself were of a high quality and quite pleasant. Dining opportunities were also very nice and the scenery was amazing. The trip is best for people with limited mobility. Very little opportunity for active events outside of two walking tours that were painfully slow with too much detail. The most memorable event was the hiking trail on the grounds of the Keltic Lodge. It was the only opportunity on the tour for an active outdoor experience. The Tauck tour was great for those with limited physical mobility.

5* Canadian Maritimes
We traveled through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The scenery was absolutely beautiful in all three Provinces, but different for each. The accommodations and food were excellent and we visited very interesting sites along the way. Our tour guide and driver were terrific. We were informed and entertained. Walking along the Bay of Fundy at Hopewell Rocks.

4* Canadian Maritimes
Beautiful views and delicious seafood sums it up. Tauck was top notch on most everything. Our tour guide was the best. Our driver was awesome. Loved all the hotels scheduled except for the last one, Liscombe Resort. It was below Tauck standards. Food was scrumptious except for one restaurant. Arduaine Restaurant was disappointing. Loved the view at the Keltic Lodge!! Cape Briten was beautiful. New Glasgow Lobster dinner was very enjoyable! Titanic cemetery was memorable. Didn't know that history. Loved Charlottetown Main St. Enjoyed the hike and food presentation at the Keltic Lodge.

5* Travels with Eric
Hi This was my first Tauck vacation. I loved traveling through the Maritimes with the Tauck Director and motor coach driver. Highlights were dressing up as Anne of Green Gables, eating lobster at the lobster feed, and the Keltic Lodge nature walk in the rain! The Tauck Director's flexibility was evident; commentary full of insight and showed joy in his work and enthusiasm for life. One among many was watching the Tauck Director flying a kite on the lawn the Alexander Graham Bell museum as we listened to Donna our guide at the museum. He loves being a tour guide!

5* I Am Really Hooked on the Riverboats
This was my 10th Tauck tour and second riverboat trip. Riverboats are definitely the way to travel...I love going someplace different every day and having my room go with me...no packing and unpacking! With Tauck, you have a more intimate experience than some other options. I have another Tauck riverboat cruise reserved in 2016 and can't wait. I started to write what I especially liked and realized it was almost everything! Strasbourg, German lunch in Heidelberg, Siegfrieds Mechanisches Musikkabinett (musical museum) and brandied coffee in Rüdesheim, the Koln cathedral, collecting Glühwein cups and mugs at the different markets...all great! As was the boat's mulled wine at day's end!

5* Beautiful and Friendly Canadian Maritimes
We loved this trip. Our guide was the best guide we have ever had. She has a winning smile and personality. She taught us so much. The scenery is breathtaking. The Canadian people are very warm and caring. We had fantastic sunny weather 80% of the time which certainly added to the enjoyment of our trip. Ate lots of lobster. Seeing the Titanic victims graves in Halifax. Very sobering experience. We had no idea so many were buried in Halifax.

4* Canadian Maritimes: Marvelous Trip!
We did the Canadian Maritimes trip September 19th through the 29th, 2017. It really was a marvelous trip. Tauck took great care of us the whole way. Our tour director was spectacular. He was friendly, attentive to our needs, and knew the area like the back of his hand. He was constantly following up to make sure our needs were met. We enjoyed our time at the Keltic Lodge the most although there were many memorable moments such as The Citadel in Halifax or the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick. Bus trips were quite long but that's because the sights were so far apart.

5* Remember my tour
The Tauck Tour was one of the best vacation my wife and ever took. The tour director and bus driver were the BEST. The tour director was outstanding and no one could have done a better job. Each day was filled with new and exciting things to do. We saw far more than we expected. Lodging and restaurants were outstanding. Learning about Maritimes Provinces. Seeing all Canada had to offer and learning about each location. The tour director had far more information to share than anyone else. Her description of events and locations put it over the top.

5* Canadian Maritimes
This trip was outstanding, in every way! The scenery is gorgeous, and we had the best tour director ever! He made the bus rides fun, there were always surprises on our seats, and he always had little contests, with prizes. The hotels, except for the last one, Liscombe Lodge, were all top notch. I had lobster so many nights. Our Tauck Director dressing up as Anne of Green Gables was a riot. Riding the golf cart in Keltic Lodge through their course was another.

3* Too much bus travel
It was disappointing. After years of trying to find the right tour, my husband and I chose this tour. We had no idea how much time we would spend on the bus, where there was little to see, except a lot of pine trees. In retrospect, we should have done our sightseeing of this beautiful land by cruise, as the sights were best along the shore and coves. our stay at Liscombe Mills Lodge. Should have been longer, with less time at Keltic Lodge (where we wasted a day).

This 11-day trip began in Halifax Nova Scotia (New Scotland.) Visited New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Cape Breton Island. 18th century artillery exhibitions, Cajun music, Alex Graham Bell, Keltic Lodge, Bay of Fundy at low tide; Anne of Green Gables, Charlottestown, Gaelic College, Lobster fishing (and eating.) There were many memorable moments. But I'm going to pick our coming into close views of Ospreys and being able to see them catching fish and returning to their nests. I saw Osprey nests atop utility poles, such locations being the highest point available for them. A surprise was that Nova Scotia was the home of Alexander Graham Bell.

Going South to North is great because you get a rest toward the end of the trip. Take an extra suitcase. You will buy a lot of Christmas décor! Have fun! 5* A Celtic Blessing (7/31-8/10/2016 tour)
There's a traditional Celtic blessing that includes the lines, "May the sun always shine upon your window pane. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain." This was that kind of a blessed trip, only all sun and rainbow, barely a drop of rain. The weather was perfect, so was our Tauck Director and driver. Every hour was well spent. A surprise stop at a Heritage Society 1940's "Memory Lane" village on the way back to the airport the last day was the kind of "bonus" our Tauck Director and driver added that made the trip definitely exceed expectations. I also loved the Keltic Lodge, and every minute of our sightseeing on Prince Edward Island. The Cabot Trail was spectacular too.

4* Canadian Maritimes
We really enjoyed our tour and learned a great deal about our neighbor to the North (The True North Strong and Free). The Maritimes are universally beautiful, some parts even more impressive than others. Cape Breton was staggering in both the majestic beauty of the sea and mountains and in the nature that engulfs you. PEI was "Anne" wonderful. The hike at the Keltic Lodge with Kesti, the naturalist, to the end of Middle Head. It was educational and exhilarating. Honorable mention to Paul Gaudet, local guide at Hopewell Rocks he was both learned and funny. Thanks to Director and Driver. A great team. Loved Halifax City as well. We'll be back to see more.

Where do we start ? This was our seventh Tauck Tour that my wife and I took and our first overseas trip as a couple ( our first was to Hawaii on our honeymoon ). The ship, MS Savor, was beautiful and we had the best cabin available with a walk in closet and beautiful bathroom, bedroom and sitting area with a great double slider for viewing. Besides the great food, great tour guides, wonderful ship staff and itinerary we particularly enjoyed visiting the Benedictine Abbey in Melk and cruising through the Wachau Valley while viewing ancient vineyards started during the Roman Empire. 5* Canadian maritimes a memorable place
I just completed the Canadian Maritimes tour and know this is a place I want to return to. The beauty of the coast along the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island can't be topped. While it's a long bus ride with lots of forests blocking the view at times, the vistas are spectacular and we were blessed with blue skies, clear weather and lots of mussels. Walking along the beach on Prince Edward Island and seeing the sand dunes was spectacular because it was topped off with cliff views and Scottish bagpipes. The hike on middle peninsula trail on Cape Breton Island was well worth it and seeing bald eagles was the best.

3* Beautiful Maritimes
This was a great trip but not up to our expectations based on our first two Tauck trips we didn't experience the "Wow Factor". The tour Director and the Driver were excellent!!! The lower rating is due to the some of the lodging and dining experiences. There were numerous memorable experiences during the trip. Peggy's cove, Mahone Bay, and Cape Breton Island were filled with memorable experiences. We had a great group of fellow travelers that made the trip enjoyable.

Canada is lovely. Our Tauck Director did a wonderful job making our trip special. The last night accommodations were not great. Keltic lodge stay

5* Canadian Maritimes 2013
I selected this trip so I could go to Prince Edward Island, being a fan of Anne of Green Gables. The Scottish aspects and the scenery of Nova Scotia were wonderful as well. The Federation Museum in Charlottetown was extremely interesting. Not a fan of seafood, that was not special to me. The Bay of Fundy and history of the explosion in Halifax.

5* Great Time in the Maritimes
Learned a great deal more about Canada than I previously knew. Loved the people and the scenery. Enjoyed the complete trip. First class guide and driver.

4* Canadian Maritimes
It was our first experience with a small tour, and it was wonderful. We had a super guide who was knowledgeable about Canada, and thoughtful of those of us on the tour. We could not have asked for a better guide! There were many: the scenery was magnificent!

4* Nicely Done Tauck
Superb Tour Director; very well organized and responsive; beautiful scenery (we were lucky with great weather and very little fog);lots of welcome "surprises"; full bus with 43 travelers; long rides but lots of potty/photo op breaks. Reminded my wife and I why we like Canada and Canadians - charming people. Halifax was a very pleasant surprise. Hearing and seeing (at mid-night) the Tidal Bore in Moncton as the Bay of Fundy tide reversed the flow of the river.

3* Canadian Maritimes
Beautiful scenery. Trip was well paced. Food and accommodation were very nice. Some of the best sea food ever. Would like to have visited more historical sites such as Grand Pres and Louisbourg. Scenery was gorgeous but got boring after a while Luneberg followed closely by visit to Bay of Fundy

4* Lovely Maritimes
We arrived in Halifax a day in advance of our start day. Halifax was easily walkable and it gave us an opportunity to see the sights on foot. The hotel is lovely. We met our Tour Guide and the rest of the Tauck Guests at the opening dinner. It was evident from that point on that this was going to be a wonderful trip. Everyone was so friendly. There were several; I can't say there was just one The Bay of Fundy...The Bagpipe solo as we threw petals into the wind on the coast...the beauty and serenity of Cape Breton...seeing Mamma Mia in a theater in Charlottetown...listening to our Tauck Director and driver sing on our bus...seeing our Tauck Director and driver dressed up as Anne of Green Gables...Best Lobster ever

5* Scenery and Seafood
The Canadian Maritimes, from Halifax to Cape Breton Island is a trip filled with wondrous scenery, friendly folk and wonderful food. There is opportunity to hike, explore the Hopewell Rocks and visit Green Gables. PEI is charming and the Cabot Trail filled with vistas. AG Bell Museum and Maude Lewis Gallery round out the trip. Too many to name one. Great seafood everywhere!

4* Christmas markets on the Danube
Our trip down the Danube aboard the Savor was terrific! We enjoyed visiting the Christmas markets and having free time to explore on our own. Meals were excellent as was the service on the Savor. Tauck directors were professional and very knowledgeable about the towns we visited and the markets. Local guides were excellent. Too many great memories to pick just one.

4* Xmas River Cruise soundbound on Rhein river
The food was always delicious, the staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The riverboat was very comfortable and also my bed. The boat even had a tiny library of four or five small shelves which was more that enough. Most of the other travellers were friendly and I enjoyed some interesting conversations. My favorite Xmas markets were in the smaller towns in France although the market in Strasbourg was better than I thought since ususally big city markets tired me.

4* CANADIAN MARITIMES
The Maritimes are a wonderful mixture of spectacular landscapes and coastlines combined with three centuries of history created by settlers from Scottish, Irish, English and French cultures that migrated here. Our local tour director knew it all! - and made the few long bus rides we made to see it all very entertaining. Cape Breton Highlands Bay of Fundy Anne of Green Gables Halifax

4* Another outstanding experience
My wife and I chose this for our 5th Tauck tour. Others have seemed so exotic, we opted this time for quicker travel to a shorter tour and were once again fully pleased. We saw some new fascinating places, had some new experiences, and met some wonderful people. Every stop was worthwhile! While not literally my "best vacation ever," it's up there! My most memorable aspect was the outstanding direction of our tour director, enhanced by the active participation of our driver. We enjoyed them as much as anyone in the group. I especially liked the Halifax waterfront, the architecture of Lunenburg, Hopewell Rocks, Confederation Bridge, the Bell museum, and the greenery of Nova Scotia.

hotels and accomodations not to usual Tauck standards. For instance, mini bars in every room, not one with any contents. Not even turned on. Food very average or below average. Worst value vs. cost of all our trips. Bay of Fundy

2* This was not Tauck Quality
My wife and I and a second couple recently completed (June 2018) a Tauck tour of the Canadian Maritimes. We were quite excited to try a bus tour of this area after a recent outstanding Tauck tour of Iceland - don’t miss that one. Unfortunately, this past excursion was perhaps the worst of nearly 20 trips that we have taken. After our time spent in Nova Scotia, it was all down hill. There was way too much time spent on the bus with interesting places few and FAR BETWEEN. One day (#7) we spent nearly the entire day traveling with two stops at tourist traps. The Keltic Lodge in Cape Benton was lovely but service was horrendous- “Not enough staff for the summer months”

5* Beautiful Danube
our 3rd trip with Tauck and first river cruise. We were not disappointed. Each city was planned and the tour directors were the best. The local tour guides added to the enjoyment and knowledge of the area. The river boat was fabulous. The room was very spacious and the food was excellent. I like the all inclusive. Christmas Markets were GREAT! Going through all the lock, especially the one that dropped 74ft. But the whole trip was memorable and highly recommended. We have already booked our Rhine River cruise with Tauck for next year.

5* Canadian Maritimes
Best trip yet. The Tauck Director did a great job adding to every day's explorations. The scenic views, the Atlantic, Halifax, PEI, and the lodging. We had a great time. The educational side of the trip, Canadian History and Gaelic College was my wife favorite. My was the Citadel first nite and the cookie recipe Eric got us for oat cakes. My wife is on her 5 batch, family is enjoying the cookies like they had been on the trip.,

5* First time with Tauck, but not the last
Having done our homework, well as much as we could on line, regarding Tauck, what a wonderful surprise this turned out to be. Really, the guest is paramount with everything from start to finish. From hotel arrangements to Airport departure, first class. The itinerary was superb, the staff wonderful, the food first class, including all the guests. The splendor of the Christmas Markets, the little surprises along the way wonderful. The very humbling visits to the cathedrals in Cologne and Heidelberg, the mixing with locals who, like you, are there to simply take in the occasion.Just to see a coming together of people from across the globe in unison, truly remarkable and forever a memory.

5* The "Anything is Possible" River Cruise
Great Christmas Market River Cruise along the Danube visiting quaint German towns. The on-boat experience was fabulous - from wonderful service, cleanliness, delicious food, tours, attention to detail, and local entertainment brought on-board to enhance our experience of the areas. Everything was perfect! My husband once made a request of a Tauck staff member along the lines of, "Would it be possible for us to..?" The answer became our mantra for the rest of the trip - "Of course. Anything is possible." This is so representative of the Tauck experience, and we're looking to plan another Tauck trip soon. Thanks you all!

5* Expectations met and exceeded !!!
From our arrival in Halifax and Welcome Dinner at The Citadel to our Farewell Feast 10 days later, this trip was outstanding! We learned so much about Canadian history and the development of the Maritime Provinces through our excellent tour guide, experienced breath-taking sights(Bay of Fundy Tidal Change)and beautiful ocean side drives - lovely! Although it's hard to pick out just one moment from this trip, I would have to say that we truly loved going to visit The Anne of Green Gables property, because not only was I a fan of the book, we had just seen the musical production of this the previous evening at the Confederation Center in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island...sweet memories!

5* Christmas Market Memories
This was our first Tauck Tour, and it was fantastic! From the initial airport pick-up in Nuremburg, to the final departure in Vienna, we felt the "magic" of a Tauck tour. The various Christmas markets, intermingled with city and palace tours, gave us unforgettable memories. Cruising the Danube was a great experience in itself. Thx to all the staff! Many, many memories...cruising the river, lunch at Palais Pallavicini in Vienna, drinking warm Gluhwein while browsing the markets, and of course, meeting other Tauck guests on the cruise. Also, the special attention provided by our great cruise directors!!

4* Picture Postcard Perfect
Having never visited the Canadian Maritimes, we were not expecting such sublime, gorgeous scenery, including picturesque homes, farms, and seemingly endless natural beauty. The cities and towns were charming, the local people very helpful and friendly. The local guides were very well versed in knowledge of their environs, and I learned a lot. There were too many to choose just one.

4* An excellent trip but a few observations
Excellent trip: The ship, the food and drinks and, especially, the friendly crew. Need more, better explanations of local history, architecture, etc. Include the Speyer cathedral in the trip. Saw it at night and it was closed. Why travel the most beautiful part of the Rhein at night? Why Baden-Baden without the Black Forest? Our last dinner on board. Strasbourg after dark, Riquewihr and Colmar.

3* A Long and Winding Road
Lots of sea ports and quaint fishing towns. Very nice accommodations. The meals were very good, but probably could have been pared down for lunch. On some days, the time on the bus was extensive (sometimes up to one and a half hours) due to the rural area. Overall, a lovely trip but could have been a day or two shorter. Seeing (or not seeing) Peggy's Cove in the dense fog. The locals deal with this on a daily basis and is definitely something we do not see often where we live in the mid-west.

4* Canadian Maritimes were fantastic!
We were fortunate to have perfect weather with only one day of rain. Our director and our driver made our trip much more interesting. They even became entertainers one night by singing with guitar together. Where do you find such great people? They made the trip more fun than ever. Our Tauck Director kept us very informed and our motor coach driver served us well. Too many to choose from! I guess it would be our stay at the Keltic Lodge because of the incredible scenery and the hike we took there out to the end of the peninsula. What views and pictures I took. Then other outstanding moments close behind were the Cabot Trail, Peggy's Cove, the Hopewell Giants, the farmlands and homes and A.G.Bell Museum.

This is a once in a lifetime trip that you will not be sorry you took. Despite the crowds (and it is very crowded), it is very unique. 5* Fantastistic cultural and nature experience. Great people everywhere.
This trip was better than the description. For those never experiencing the Maritimes this was fantastic. We enjoyed our guide and driver as they added to the experiences during the trip. Fantastic stops in Hopewell Rocks with Ranger Rick. Halifax was great to walk along the piers. Sing along and company with our Tauck Director and motor coach driver. They enhanced the trip and were funny and caring. Hopewell Rocks walk was the most enjoyable nature part.

Wonderful trip. Director was informative and full of surprises as we traveled our route. Driver was great in getting us to our destinations despite some road work and weather. Strongly recommend this trip for all travelers looking to explore the Nova Scotia area. All the trip was memorable made even better by all the people on the trip who got along well with one another. Hotels/resorts/lodges and eating establishments were well organized and professionally executed on time. I cannot say enough about how well organized and executed the trip was carried out. Well done all around.

5* Christmas Markets along the Danube
A memorable trip with beautiful and varied Christmas markets selling no Chinese goods. Lovely wooden , straw and shiny decorations. Lots of glass, beeswax, woollen and hand made goods. The variety of food and drink typical to the areas was interesting. We had a marvellous crew on the Savor ship and four fantastic tour directors . Too numerous to mention. The surprises from the lovely tour directors were really appreciated. Visits to castles and a monastery and the Turn and Taxis Market.

4* Canadian Maritimes: Another Tauck winner
My husband and I honeymooned in the Canadian Maritimes over 20 years ago and always wanted to return. We thought we had "seen it all" but our Tauck tour was even better! From our opening dinner at the Citadel, walking the ocean floor, amazing views along the Cabot Trail, and the majesty of the Keltic Lodge, we made new memories to last a lifetime! Walking the Ocean Floor at Hopewell Rocks! Truly amazing!

5* absolutely loved it
After doing many sea cruises, we didn't know how we'd like the river cruising experience. It does take a day or so of adjusting but then we absolutely loved it! The "Inspire" was decorated beautifully and got us in the mood immediately. The staff couldn't have been kinder and made every effort to make our trip absolutely amazing. Riquewehr, Colmar and Strasbourg were absolutely beautiful. We had the best lunch ever in Strasbourg.

4* Market place tour Danube Germany
The tour was welled laid out by Tauck. Tauck staff personable. Issues: 1. I called and had listed on my information sheet, that I have salt limited diet. This was noted and I met with the chef. It was embarrassing each meal to remind staff that I had a salt restricted diet and it was not always met. 2. Post airport transfer was missing. Christmas staff present exchange. Staff in santa, elf garb. Very fun. Palace lunch in Vienna.
