Day 1:Arrive Belgrade
Welcome to Belgrade and the start of your adventure. You are free to arrive today at your leisure, but please note there will be a pre departure meeting with your group and tour leader at 6pm.Belgrade is the capital and largest city in Serbia, while also being known as one of the oldest cities in Europe. Sitting on the junction between the Sava and Danube rivers, the city has been an important presence in Europe – it even took the title of capital of Yugoslavia until the dissolution of the country in 2006.Looming over the old city is the ancient Kalemegdan Citadel, which was built in stages from the 1st century BC and was finally finished in the 18th century. You can visit the well-preserved ruins and may even see graffiti made by bored medieval guardsmen. The city itself offers excellent shopping opportunities, from luxurious upscale boutiques through to unique places such as Titos Flowers, a memorial centre for the former Yugoslav leader.Come evening check out the area of Skadarlija, a wonderfully quaint canvas of cobbled streets, vibrant restaurants and hanging flowers. This bohemian haunt was popular during the 90's when singers, musicians, writers and poets lived and performed here, and to this day has managed to keep its charming and artistic appearance, with local musicians still performing at restaurants.

Day 2:Pristina
Today we will move onto one of the newest countries in the world; the small yet fascinating country of Kosovo. En route, we will stop in the unique Serbian town of Djavolja Varos. More commonly known as Devil's Town, this natural phenomenon got its name from the strange formation of soil pyramids. Wonder amongst the stone-capped pillars and be sure to ask your tour leader about the folklore and tales from the town!We then continue our journey to Pristina. Europe's youngest capital, it has a buzzing energy and a small but fascinating number of attractions to see. Visit the Ethnographic Museum for exhibits on life in Kosovo between the 15th and 20th century and marvel at the iconic design of the National Library. Wander down Bill Clinton Boulevard and wave back at the 3m-tall bronze statue of the former president, before stopping for one of Pristina's famous coffees in any one of the numbers of cafes found here.
