Enjoy a drive along the ‘Romantic Road’, visit the picture-perfect Rhine Valley, and see wonderful fairy tale castles, on this spectacular tour to Germany. Included is a visit to Rudesheim with its lively Drosselgasse, travel along the river Rhine and marvel at the medieval castles and vineyards, the famous Loreley Rock, Boppard with its splendid Rhine promenade and St. Goar. The highlight of the tour is a visit to King Ludwig II’s Neuschwanstein Castle, which featured in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. You will also get the opportunity to visit Herrenchiemsee, located on an island in the Chiemsee Lake, the beautiful lakeside resort of Titisee and spend time in the Black Forest in the charming towns of Triberg, and Freudenstadt. Whilst on holiday be sure to try the local cuisine and indulge in some Bavarian Bratwurst. You will stay for two nights at a 3 or 4-star hotel such as the Hotel Alte Bauernschänke or the Zwei Mohren in charming Assmannshausen in the Rhine Valley. You will then stay for three nights at the recently refurbished 4-star Hotel Zum Mohren in Reutte. Our overnight stay in the Black Forest will be in a 3-star standard hotel, such as the Hotel Schwarzwald Freudenstadt and in Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
