On this tour, we stay at either the Waterhead Inn, along the shores of Lake Windermere, or the Swann Inn, with stunning mountain views. These hand-picked and award-winning Inn Collection hotels provide the best service, local real ale and home-cooked pub food, as well as offering the perfect base for exploring the stunning Lake District. Join us for something a little different, to both first and repeat visitors to the lakes. We include an ‘off the beaten track’ fully-guided visit to six lakes: Windermere, Brotherswater, Ullswater, Thirlmere, Grasmere Lake and Rydal Water. We also visit Kirkstone Pass, the mysterious Castlerigg Stone Circle, and Holker Hall & Gardens, one of the lakes most beautiful stately homes.

You will stay for four nights at either the Waterhead Inn in Ambleside or the Swann Inn in Grasmere. Both properties are part of the Inn Collection, which offers a unique type of accommodation. They are full of charm and character, featuring lovely gardens to enjoy a relaxing drink.
