Croatia is home to some of the most beautiful national parks, waterfalls and mountains in Europe. Many of its most stunning natural features can be found in and around Paklenica National Park, so this is the perfect spot for an eight-day active adventure. Get your heart pumping as you hike, bike and kayak among some of the country’s most gorgeous surrounds, including Plitvice Lakes National Park and the Velebit Mountain Range. There’s also plenty of time to enjoy fresh, local cuisine, see the sights and enjoy some down time along the sparking Adriatic Sea.
- Get into the heart of Paklenica National Park on foot and by bike, a place where the mountains meet the sea, where stunning deep gorges, lush forests, and lost villages wait to be explored
- Sea kayak out on the silken blue waters of the Adriatic, dramatic mountains the backdrop while following the coast to the delightful fishing hamlet of Vinjerac
- Stroll through Plitvice Lakes National Park, marvelling at luminous lakes and waterfalls that seem to have been sketched by an artist
- By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, World Bicycle Relief. Donations provide school kids, health workers, and farmers in far-out areas with bicycles that provide access to education, healthcare, and income.
- Ride into the heart of Paklenica National Park – a place where the mountains meet the sea, where deep gorges, lush forests and lost villages wait to be explored.
- Hike through the Velebit Mountain Range, right to the edge of the Velika Paklenica Canyon for some of the most magnificent views of the park. The lush landscape is a result of the pure spring water that flows through the area.
- Sea kayak on the silken blue waters of the Adriatic with dramatic mountains as your backdrop. With expert guides, you’ll follow the coast to the fishing hamlet of Vinjerac, stopping along the way for scenic photo ops, lunch and a couple of swims.
- Stroll through the gorgeous UNESCO World Heritage site of Plitvice Lakes National Park – home to numerous lakes and waterfalls that look almost unreal.
- Enjoy a free day to take on your favourite activity – maybe head out on a canoe safari or a whitewater rafting adventure, taking you from Kastel Zegarski to waterfalls, narrow valleys and steep-sided canyons to Obrovac.
- The style of accommodation indicated in the day-to-day itinerary is a guideline only and may change. On some occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our preferred accommodation. In these cases, we will use a similar standard of accommodation.
- Throughout the trip, we request that our properties prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we're arriving prior to normal check-in time. However, this isn't always possible which means we won't be able to check-in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, we can store our luggage and explore our new destination or on some trips, have use of shared day rooms until all rooms are available.

- The style of accommodation indicated is a guideline. On rare occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our usual accommodation. A similar standard of accommodation will be used in these instances.

- On your arrival day rooms should be ready for you at 2pm.

- Your accommodation is in local apartments and all the rooms have their own bathrooms , but do not have air-conditioning.
