The Cotswolds during the festive period is like walking into a Christmas card, with twinkling lights adorning the quaint honey-coloured stone villages and roaring fires in cosy pubs. We spend Christmas Eve in picturesque Stow-on-the-Wold and Broadway and enjoy a Boxing Day trip to the beautiful city of Oxford on this lovely break.
Once a manor house, the Royal Court Hotel is a beautiful Grade II listed building which has been tastefully extended over the years. Set amidst 11 acres of landscaped gardens and parklands near the city of Coventry, the hotel offers comfortable en-suite bedrooms with a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities, plus a bar, restaurant and a leisure suite with heated indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room and spa.
Please note: Leisure facilities may open on reduced hours over Christmas.
Hotels with a JG2 rating are a mixture of larger hotels and privately owned properties. Décor and furnishings may be simple but are clean and well maintained. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, TV and may have tea/coffee making facilities. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. Services may be limited but efficient.
