Welcome to a city like no other, New Orleans. Here, booze can be consumed on the streets, voodoo is commonly practiced, it’s against the law to steal someone else’s alligator and the locals move in their own slow southern style. Today is a joining day, where you’ll meet your group in the afternoon, and take a city tour to get to grips with the Big Easy. Get to know your group, soak up the buzzing festival atmosphere and hit the nightlife of the infamous Bourbon Street.
Welcome to Jazz Fest! Your leader will take you down to the fairgrounds, and introduce you to the venue. From humble beginnings catering to just 350 attendees, Jazz Fest has blown up on the North America live music scene with over 434,000 attendees across the whole event each year. Experience new sounds with experimental music sub genres, listen to home grown Jazz and blues artists, slow it down with classic R&B and be blown away by international megastars. Jazz Fest is unique as the event itself finishes earlier than most, with a notorious and rather complex afterparty scene that ensues. Not a problem for you though - your leader will be on hand to show you the best venues around for secret gigs and ‘only in NOLA’ moments!
If you’re feeling fresh this morning choose from a range of optional activities to experience a bit more of the New Orleans vibe. Discover the unique foodie scene associated with the Deep South and hit up the Cajun Cabin stage for some seriously ‘grammable local dishes. Fried Alligator, anyone? On a Saturday night, the main stage is where it’s at - previous headliners include Lorde, Lady Gaga and the Kings of Leon, so you know it’s gonna be a good one!
A great way to beat a notorious JazzFest afterparty hangover is believed to be the mighty Louisiana Crawfish Po-Boy. Try one from one of the many food areas, and be ready to get front row for the closing acts. Sharing this ultimate festival experience with your new Trek buddies will make this a real trip to remember. It’s also your last night navigating the vibrant and eclectic nightlife of NOLA, so make it count!
Your road trip begins here! Jump in the van and catch your first glimpse of the infamous white sand beaches of Florida’s Emerald Coast. Located on the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico, Destin is the perfect post festival location, where you can reward yourself with a well-deserved beach day. All you need to worry about is which swimmers to wear, and which watersport you plan to take on!
Be a big kid for the day at the home of the theme parks, Orlando. Disney lovers can mingle with Micky and experience the enchantment of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Florida. Thrill-seeker? Head to Universal Studios for mega attractions, interactive experiences and thrilling novelty rollercoasters. Alternatively, you could cross final frontier at Kennedy Space Center, for an experience that’s truly out of this world.
Before you head home, you’ll arrive in Miami (aka South Beach). Stroll the art deco seafront, or if you're staying on for another night after the tour ends, pose with the beautiful people in ultra-cool nightspots as you celebrate a fantastic trip. This tour ends at approximately 17:00. We can book you post tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00.
You will have the option to book your own flights independently with the operator.
